Founded by Kenton Waldroup, who grew up working in his father’s local flooring store in Lima, Ohio, Foot Traffic Marketing was built on real industry experience. Meet the Owner — Kenton Waldroup

Kenton Waldroup was raised in the flooring world. Growing up in Lima, Ohio, he watched his dad build a successful local flooring store from the ground up. As a kid, Kenton would play on carpet rolls in the warehouse and jump in to help with installs when his dad needed an extra hand. From an early age, flooring wasn’t just a business — it was family.

While earning his degree in Economics at The Ohio State University, Kenton worked full-time for some of the largest flooring retailers in the country. He learned every angle of the business — from sales and customer service to project management and installation. That experience gave him a rare perspective: how the biggest stores operate, and what local stores can do to compete.

Outside the showroom, Kenton made a name for himself online, generating over 100 million views on social media by creating content that actually connects with people. That creative edge — paired with deep industry knowledge — is what led him to start Foot Traffic Marketing.
